Prior to setting up her Acupuncture and Physical Therapy clinic, Sinéad worked for over 16 years in the corporate world, in top Fortune 500 companies in London and Dublin. Serious health issues of a family member prompted her to investigate therapies that worked alongside conventional medicine to help people to improve their health and feel better about themselves. Having treated family and friends part-time with Acupuncture and Reflexology for a few years, demand grew steadily until Sinéad finally took the plunge and opened her own clinic (and hasn’t looked back since!).
As the number of people taking up running, cycling and other activities has increased in recent years, so too has the number of sports-related injuries coming into the clinic! With that in mind, Sinead undertook further studies in Neuromuscular Physical Therapy at the National Training Centre (NTC) in Dublin, providing soft tissue techniques, trigger point therapy and sports massage as additional services to treat muscular and joint pain. Of course, the more you learn, the more there is to find out, so Sinead is currently completing even more study in the physical therapy arena, and is in her final year of a Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences (Physical Therapy).
Sinead is a graduate of Lansdowne College of Acupuncture in Dublin where she studied under Dr. Vincent Carroll. Sinéad was also awarded her Licentiate Diploma at the Chengdu University of Chinese Medicine, China, where she studied and worked with eminent Chinese doctors. She is also a Chinese Medical herbalist, having studied in the Acupuncture Foundation of Ireland with prominent Chinese doctors, Professor Jin Huide, Dr Jidong Wu and Dr Meng Fanyi.
Continuous professional development is vital and Sinéad regularly undertakes additional training with international experts across many fields. Areas of particular interest include pregnancy, fertility, stress management and muscular pain / sports injuries.
Sinéad is a registered member of the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association (AFPA), the oldest and largest professional body for practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Ireland, and of the European Traditional Chinese Medicine Association (ECTMA). As such, she is bound by a Code of Ethics and Practice strictly enforced by the AFPA. She is also a member of the Irish Reflexologist’s Institute.

Having suffered with severe anxiety and panic attacks for more than 2 years now, I have to say that the only thing that has really helped me has been acupuncture. I now feel calmer and less stressed, and more able to cope with the shakes and palpitations. It has been a godsend.
I’m pregnant!!!! Words can’t express our delight in saying those two little words… and I definitely believe that acupuncture had a firm part to play in this. We had been trying to conceive for over two years, and were having a really tough time. Acupuncture really helped in so many ways and I’ll definitely be keeping it up throughout the pregnancy.
I used to suffer from horrendous and debilitating migraines and often spent days in agony, unable to go out. Sinéad has been a lifeline and has really helped to manage the pain and frequency of my migraines. I have been migraine-free for 3 months now and feel like I have my life back for the first time in years!
With the help of regular acupuncture sessions, I managed to lose almost 2 stone before my wedding. It really boosted my confidence on my big day J. And as a bonus, the treatments really helped me to manage my stress levels and stay calm at such a busy time in my life!!
